Tom and Marie Treacy are great supporters of sport in Ireland and have many sporting links to clubs & teams up & down the county.

Treacys began GAA sponsorship at county level in1992 when the bar & restaurant sponsored the Laois U21 football team.

From 1993 to 1996 Treacy’s were the official sponsor of all Laois football & hurling teams, and during this period Laois GAA saw some of the highlights in its history. In 1996 Martin Delaney captained the Laois minors to their first All-Ireland victory.  Today Treacys remain a favourite meal stop for Laois teams.

Treacys are also in greatly involved in the local club, The Heath GAA, and have sponsored the team since 1995. Click the link below for all the latest Club news.

Tom is a major rugby fan and has close ties with Munster Rugby. Players from the Munster & Irish rugby teams often eat at the restaurant and Munster rugby fans know where to find us when travelling up to Landsdown/Aviva for good grub to sustain them on their long journey. Treacy's were proud to have Muster and Ireland rugby legends John Hayes and Brendan Foley officially launch our new menu, including Irish Hereford Prime Steaks, in March 2014.
